WooCommerce Reporting Plugin and WooCommerce admin Dashboard

Why WooCommerce is so popular for eCommerce

WooCommerce is an open-source e-commerce plugin for WordPress. It is designed for small to large-sized online merchants using WordPress. WooCommerce now powers over 30% of all online stores with over 5 million downloads. With WooCommerce, you can sell both physical and digital goods in all shapes and sizes, offer product variations, complex configurations, and instant downloads to shoppers; and even sell affiliate goods from online marketplaces.

What are the different kinds of stores possible with WooCommerce?

Out of the box, WooCommerce has a ton of functionality like product and inventory management, shipping options, tax and payment options, marketing, reporting, and more. And for virtually every other eCommerce need there is a wide selection of extensions that can be downloaded.

Beyond your standard e-commerce model, WooCommerce can also power a variety of other online businesses.

  • Dropshipping
  • Digital/Virtual
  • Affiliate
  • Subscription
  • Membership
  • Auctions
  • Bookings

How can woocommerce reporting increase Revenue for your online store?

Many store owners and marketers extract their store data into spreadsheets and manually go through row after row to figure out trends and insights such as

How many items did my store sell today or yesterday? Same metric different time period such as this “How many sales this month”, “How many sales this quarter vs last quarter” “YTD Sales Vs Profit” and so on.

With wooCommerce Analytics and tools like Advanced Woocommerce reporting, store owners have a variety of useful analysis and reports at the tip of their fingers. These advanced ecommerce reports enable a store owner or a marketing person to easily view Sales Trends, Customer Analytics, Product Metrics and various Tax reports necessary for regulatory filings.

What are the different options for advanced woocommerce reporting?

WooCommerce Reports

Basic WooCommerce Reporting comes already packaged with the woocommerce plugin. This allows you to look at your store’s performance from time to time in order to track its progress. Statistics and graphs are used in Woocommerce reports to give an overall view of the store so you can be ahead of your competitors in the market. All WooCommerce reporting can be visualized in the customized date range.

The four main sections of WooCommerce reports are

1- Orders

Reports of Orders let you know the volume of the net and gross sales in the business. You can know your top sellers, earners, and freebies. Further, you can view the categories of sales by date, sales by product, sales by category and coupons by date.

  • Sales by date
  • Sales by product
  • Sales by category
  • Coupons by date
  • Customer downloads

2- Customers

WooCommerce reports give an overview of the customers by the categories of “Customers vs. Guests” and “Customer list” which can be further sorted out.

3- Stock

It includes the management of stock including the items low in stock, out of stock and items left in stock.

4- Taxes

You can view the “Taxes by Date” and “Taxes by Code” by using WooCommerce reporting

  • Putler: This is also a SAAS solution for woocommerce reporting

No other plugin or reporting SAAS provides the ability to filter by any meta-fields. Every woocommerce store is unique and usually, over the history of the store, the owner has implemented several addons and extensions. Each extension adds several sets of meta fields. InfoCaptor’s woocommerce reporting plugin provides an easy way to filter any meta fields from the reports.

Another benefit is that since it embeds the dashboard and chart editor, in a future release it will become much easier for store owners to build their own analysis, reports, and dashboards.

This is the best dashboard software for its price. One good thing we did was to hire their consulting services to build few dashboard prototypes and provide some quick dashboard training.
- Terry Seal, IL
We evaluated Xcelsius and Qlikview and the cost for organization to implement dashboards was quoted over 10,000 USD. For fraction of the above quoted price, we were able to buy the licenses for the web based dashboard software and get some free training. This is truly a dashboard software for small businesses like us.
