1 . Open DashboardsOpen Dashboards

Open Dashboards

Use this button to open the dashboards from the file definition. Dashboards are stored with ".icv" extension

 

2 . Connect to DatabaseConnect to Database

Connect to Database

Click on this button to launch the connection wizard. With this option you can connect to any database e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, Sybase, MS Access, MS Excel and lot of other databases.

 

3 . Create and Edit DashboardCreate and Edit Dashboard

Create and Edit Dashboard

This button lets you add new dashboards. The icon with the pencil lets you edit the properties of existing dashboards

 

4 . Dashboard ParametersDashboard Parameters

Dashboard Parameters

These are the Dashboard parameters. Some of them are list of values and some of them are user editable

 

5 . Tree BrowserTree Browser

Tree Browser

This is a convenient Tree browser that outlines all the dashboard Portlets (tables and charts)

 

6 . Create new Dashboard Portlet (Qlet)Create new Dashboard Portlet (Qlet)

Create new Dashboard Portlet (Qlet)

This button lets you create new Query Portlets. Query Portlets are shortly named as 'Qlet'. To create a Qlet you just provide the SQL query and it displays the information in tabular format

 

7 . Create Dashboard ParameterCreate Dashboard Parameter

Create Dashboard Parameter

Use this button to create new parameters or list of values. Just provide a SQL query for the data source.

 

8 . Create new ChartCreate new Chart

Create new Chart

Use this button to create new Charts. Just provide the SQL query to create the chart. You can create variety of charts such as Bar, Pie, Ring, Stacked, Line, Area etc

 

9 . Refresh Complete DashboardRefresh Complete Dashboard

Refresh Complete Dashboard

Use this button to refresh the entire dashboard. This button refreshes all the open Qlets and Glets (Graphical portlets)

 

10 . Export optionsExport options

Export options

Set your Export Directory, file name and other export options

 

11 . Toggle Tree BrowserToggle Tree Browser

Toggle Tree Browser

This option lets you toggle between dashboard view and Tree view. In the dashboard view, you can see multiple portlets at once and in the tree view you can see only the selected node in the Tree.
