Add User Groups

 

 

1 . Expand the "Group and Category" nodeExpand the "Group and Category" node

Expand the "Group and Category" node

This node allows you to add new groups, update existing groups. Similarly setup categories and update them

 

2 . Click on the "Add Group" nodeClick on the "Add Group" node

Click on the "Add Group" node

This will bring up the screen where you can add new groups and see the existing groups.

 

3 . Enter a new Group NameEnter a new Group Name

Enter a new Group Name

Groups are logical groupings of functional roles. Think "Groups of people" when defining groups. e.g. "Finance" group is for people in finance, "IT" is for people in IT (like DBAs, Sysadmins etc)

 

4 . Click on the "Add Group" buttonClick on the "Add Group" button

Click on the "Add Group" button

Once you click, the group name will be added to the "Group List". The groups are defined in the XXIC_GROUP table
